Tiger Woods aired a public apology today about his affairs and other wrong-doings in his personal life. Most cannot argue that the man is the best golfer in the history of golf. He has earned every dollar he has made, he has earned to have his name professionally recognized with greatness. He has also earned the right to have panties thrown at him whilst he sips tea on a boardwalk bistro. Not that that should happen.

Follow up:

I don't really care that he had an affair. A lot of people have. Most not near as rich or as famous. But the Dingus points and the rest is history. My main concern about this, is that because he is so famous, the media has a hey day with the entire ordeal. I realize that the media are just people earning their paychecks too. However, without the media blowing everything out of proportion and into our faces on a daily basis, would it really be that big of a deal? I mean, honestly, does anyone really, truly care who Tiger Woods sleeps with? What really irks me, is the fact that if he hadn't run over the trash can when backing out of his drive way, would we even know about it at all? Nope. Woods was a very private guy. Personal is personal. And why not? How many out there can honestly say they wouldn't end up in their front yard in just their undies holding a baseball bat at 2 a.m. if there were people trying to take pictures of you through your bedroom window? Yeah. Try being a media icon for a week and see how fucked you become. But, it is what it is, and we must deal with it as such. I mean, what else would I be writing about right now if he hadn't run down a trash can? Exactly. So thanks where thanks is due. But do we really need to nit pick they guys speech? Who cares if it was written by him or for him? No one bitches when the President has to read an apology to the U.N. that he didn't write. Look how well it worked for G.W. Exactly. The main stickler around the office today was "Why wasn't Elin (Woods' wife) there with him? If they are really working it out or at least giving that front, shouldn't she be there to show support for her husband?" The simple answer is no. Tiger Woods states he tries very hard (and to this point very well) to keep his private life, including wife, kids and mom, out of the spot light. SO why would he subject her to this public apology? For all the Elin should be there backers, let me ask you one thing? If she was there... After the speech was given, where would the attention go? You know damn well it wouldn't stay on Tiger. The media fags would be all over Elin asking how she felt about the whole thing, how she felt about the apology, is she staying with Tiger.. blah blah blah. Earn those paychecks news-hounds. I wouldn't take my wife either. The appearance of Tiger "being a robot" or being unkempt... well so what. He isn't up there giving a 15 minute stand up routine. He doesn't WANT to do it at this point, if ever (neither would I) but because of the fame, and the media, and the high demand of blog writers (nod) it was a necessity. I wouldn't be much more animated either. Besides, the guy can sink a 30 foot 3 curve up hill put. He doesn't have to be a good speech maker. Give it a couple days and we will all forget again until his return to the course. Then the questions will switch from "why" to "will he" and a few tourny wins after that, we will forget all about it completely. Because we are humans and someone else just as famous will have screwed up by then and we will have our bulldog jaws dug into whom ever that happens to be. My money is on someone from Grey's Anatomy or Glee. Until next time...

To visitor: Thanks for the input, and the spam. I love both the nonsensical advert with the sly undertaking tone of slight. Great combination. (PS there are only 3 graphics on the blog. And they are all fine - it's not an art showcase).

To Gry: Also thanks for the spam, much appreciated. To answer your question, I don't run tamplates, nor would I bother to name them if I did. Thanks for liking the template though, I agree, it is nice.
