I apologize off the bat for not writing sooner, but I have a good reason. I know it has been a couple of months since my last posting here, but you must understand I was in a bit of a numb, dumbfounded shock. You see, I was in the store just about 7 weeks ago and already contemplating what I was going to write next, when at the check out stand, as we all do, I began reading the covers of the random magazines by the register. That is when I saw the cover of People magazine spouting that Jennifer Lopez (aka J-Lo) was the "World's Most Beautiful Woman!"

So the last few weeks on television have been a lot of Doomsday shows. Will it happen in 2012 as everything seems to point to? Of course these are the same prophecies that pointed to the end of the world in 1997, 2000, 2005.. it will go on. When the end of the world does happen, everyone will be "see I told you so" and when it doesn't they will say "I wasn't wrong, I misinterpreted the information, the real end of the world is now this day..."

The main problem though is money, as it always has been. Money is the root of all evil, and America seems to be running out. So, is the pressing matter a water shortage? Is it nuclear bombs? Is it robots taking over and wiping us out? Technically, money has little to do with the end of the world as we know it. However, it is the root cause of all problems. Everyone has some answer to every problem yet no one tackles the problem of money. America is the most powerful country the world has ever known. America, in historical outlooks, is only comparable to Ancient Rome. Rome fell because the rich schemed the poor, their forces were out trying to make new riches for Rome and their debt overcame their needs, thus resulting in the collapse of Rome, which started as an economical crisis. If America can't remove it's national debt, like Rome, it will fall. I can remove the National Debt. I will explain how, and virtually for free as well.

Warning: This topic boils my blood a bit and as a result this blog entry may contain some course language. If you cannot handle some 'bad words' then this is your invitation to get the fuck out of here now.

The current issue of Time is covering the idea that an Islamic Mosque is to be built at the site of the 9/11 attack known as Ground Zero. Time Magazine asks if America is 'Islamophobic' because most Americans vehemently oppose the building of this Mosque in that specific location. Is this a problem? I say absolutely not. So if I am so against this I must have a reason, yes? Yes. A reason isn't good unless you have an alternate solution, right? Right. I have that as well.

The state of the world currently is not boding well for humans. If you are one of those prophecy followers such as from the Egyptians or Nostradamus, then you probably realize we are approaching the Mayan "End of the World" date of December 21st, 2012. Let's look at that for a moment.

The Mayan's say that astronomically we are doomed. That on December 21st, 2012 we will experience a phenomenon unlike anything we, as humans, have ever seen. The nay-sayers spout off that "nothing will happen" and I beg to differ.

What will happen has been tagged by many names, from dooms day, to what the Mayan called b'ak'tun 13, or end of the "13th Long Count Calendar", and what John Jenkins calls: galactic alignment.

Full story »

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

On May 16th, 1990 I lit my first cigarette. I was 12 years old.

At 3:30 a.m. on May 2nd, 2010 I put out my last cigarette. I am almost 32 years old.
The following 48 hours plus have been hell. I have quit without any aid from patches, gum, or 800-number phone support. There is currently a pack of Camels in a drawer with 12 cigarettes inside it. The pack is also duct taped closed.

The prices went up a dollar a pack on May 1st, 2010. I can not justify paying over 60 bucks for a carton. Besides the blah blah health reasons, and the money, I want to have a baby. And if she has to quit, so do I. We knew we would have to quit sooner or later, and when the announcement of the new price hike, we set our date. May 1st, 2010 would be the last time we smoked.

Technically we didn’t quit til May 2nd, since it was after midnight, but I am not bitching about 3.5 hours. After picking Beth up from work, having a couple beers and playing a little slot machine poker, we came home, smoking our last cigarette in the truck on the 4 mile drive home. What follows has been the most intense and feared hours of my life.

Hey everyone, this is a re-post for those of you that come to the Ramblings side of things and didn't know about the Site Info side...

This was originally posted on the Site Support side about a month ago...

This is just a quickie post to inform everyone that there is a new sidebar link. (Look to the right ~~> ) You will see, the new links to the separate blogs: a Heading of "Negative Words Blogs" and below that, "Words" (that's the other blog) and "Ramblings" (that's THIS blog). The Ramblings Blog is where I will post the day to day type posts. Just things here and there that I come up with or come across in my daily goings-on. That will reserve the Words blog for the site updates and notifications it was intended for. You can read both of them, one of them, the other one of them, or none of them. Either way, the option is yours, and I am hoping that this will allow for some sort of semblance of organization. Depending on what information you want (be it Site related updates, or just my own personal wisdom that cannot be flawed nor disputed) you can now access it at your leisure. Happy reading.

Original post blogged on b2evolution.

There has been a huge debate going on inside my head recently and I cant make it stop. So I have decided to "air it out" in public to see if it shakes anything loose.

The Butterfly Effect (minus Ashton Kutcher) versus Fate.

In a brief nutshell, the Butterfly Effect states that something as simple as a butterfly flapping its wings on one side of the world can create a hurricane on the other side of the world. It works under many assumptions, but if you really sit and think about it, it does have some sense to it. In essence: The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale alterations of events.

Fate on the other hand, is seemingly more deliberate. Fate defines events as ordered or "inevitable" and comes in many different forms: religious Gods or deities, Mothers, pure dumb luck or chance, and the atheist view; Shit just happens.

My debate here though, is also under a few assumptions. One, I assume the butterfly does not flap his wings in order to attempt to create a hurricane. The butterfly needs to flap the wings to go get food, or pick up his hot date on the next leaf. Whatever. In my debate it isn't a hurricane that happens it is a tree falling over. Here is how the Butterfly knocks over a tree:

During the course of my work I see about 500 ReCAPTCHA security inputs a day. Some are relatively funny. Because they are based on words and there are two words put together, the random combination can sometimes spit out some rather odd, or even off-putting phrases.

Here I have Listed my most favorite and memorable phrases. The spelling, punctuation and capitalization has been left as shown on the ReCAPTCHA form.
